WE ARE UHURU

We represent a vision for a better sales agency. By combining the strengths of sales reps, athletes, content creation, and event marketing, we work to better serve our brands and retailers.

At UHURU, we maintain valuable partnerships with key community members who are outstanding in their region. Our ambassador team includes writers, athletes, shop employees, guides, and entrepreneurs. We uplift our team by connecting them with brands and helping them share their stories. In return, our ambassadors legitimize our brands by connecting them to the local community.

Through video production and content creation, we help tell impactful stories and grow brands in meaningful new ways.

By organizing regional events, we foster authentic relationships between retailers, brands, and local communities.

When you partner with UHURU, we work with you to achieve organic long term growth.

  • James Pardo

    Northeast and Montana Rep

James first cut his teeth as a toddler on the icy slopes of the Catskills Mountains of New York, where the seed of love for the outdoors was planted. His work after college took him to rivers, mountains, many miles of trails, and finally to Uhuru. Though home these days is Vermont, he finds himself on the road for much of the year chasing powder, hero dirt, or the next trade show. His life revolves around the pursuit of sublime experiences in the outdoors and this stoke permeates into his professional role as a sales rep. Music, sewing, a good book, delicious food, and excellent people are a few more staples in his life.

  • Josephine Bond

    Community Leader

Josephine is a Bellingham-based, four-seasons-a-year type of gal, always in pursuit of adventure, regardless of the weather. • Geneva Mayall

    Community Leader

Geneva is based in what is now called Bend, OR, and also known as the original ancestral lands of the Wasco, Warm Springs, and Northern Paiute. As a Native woman, she honors the land by fully immersing herself in nature as much as possible whether it’s skiing, biking, rafting or trail running. Geneva has worked in bike and ski shops and worked hard to gain the knowledge and skills in order to create safe spaces for community members to learn about gear and safety in the outdoors. Her hope is to make the outdoors a more accessible place by identifying and knocking down the barriers that prevent various communities’ access to outdoor recreation. When she’s not in the mountains, Geneva is working at a local environmental non-profit as the Youth Education Program Coordinator, creating programs for our future stewards to get outside and use nature as a classroom.

  • Koby Yudkin

    Community Leader/Guide

Koby lives in Portland, Oregon, where he guides backcountry skiing, rock climbing, and alpine climbing throughout the Cascades and Alaska.

Koby grew up and found his love for the outdoors in the vibrant forests of Oregon. As a teenager, he was introduced to climbing, mountaineering, and outdoor leadership through a school outdoor program. These experiences quickly made him realize that getting coated in rime ice on Mt. Hood and pinching volcanic tuff nubbins at Smith Rock brought him immense joy.

He is the founder and lead guide of Trillium Alpine Guides, a Portland based, rock, alpine, and ski guiding operation.
